BMA River 2 Reef Beneficiaries

BMA River 2 Reef Ride is proud to support two local Mackay and Whitsundays charities that make a difference to the lives of the people within our communities every day. All profits raised from the BMA River 2 Reef Ride Festival are dispersed to two very important local organisations: BMA CQ Rescue and Disabled Sport & Rec Mackay.

BMA CQ Rescue is a community-funded rescue helicopter service based in Mackay, our world-class aeromedical and emergency service is a lifeline to anyone, anywhere at any time. Saving lives since 1996, our service can be the difference between life and death to the sick and injured in our region. Without CQ Rescue, many lives would be lost of changed forever. Often a patient’s only lifeline, they tell us, when the sound of the rescue helicopter draws near, there is a collective sigh of relief to know that help has arrived.
